Just an update!!
It has been forever since I have updated our blog!!! We have been on the run!! Last week we made a trip to Arizona to visit Les & Cindy!! Our trip was great! We stopped in Vegas the first night, and stayed at the Excaliber! The one thing I do know it that unfortunately our kids have a new education!! ~Yikes~ We walk in the lobby, and a woman is dancing on the bar, with not a lot of clothes on!! It shocked Jay and I as much as it did our kids!! We tried to walk faster, but there were a lot of people!! Needless to say, on the way home we stopped and stayed in Vegas again, but stayed at Circus Circus, it was a better environment for the kids!! ;-)
It was so great to see Les & Cindy, the kids have missed them so much over the winter, and I know they were glad to see us! We got to meet all of their friends and see what Quartzsite is really all about, now we know why they stay so busy! It was great fun!!
We are also staying busy with work, Jay is a 24 hour on call boss!! He says occasionally how much easier life would be if he was just an operator, but he does so well in what he is doing I think really he wouldn't enjoy it that much!! I have been staying busy as well, it seems like I run all the time!! With the kids, and with work. I won't complain though, I feel so lucky to be were we are, when there are so many people struggling right now!! I did however have my first dog attack!! ( I think it is a job hazard!! ) But I made it through with no bites!! ( Thanks to a client file!!)
So all in all things are really great, just busy!! Jay and I leave for Iowa next Wednesday to pick up Kaity's animals for stockshow. She is staying home, she has the all important maturation class at school! I think we all remember that! The hard thing is knowing that I have a daughter old enough to attend!! Yikes!!! Kali is coming over to stay with my kids, they are so excited!! I just hope she knows what she is getting in to!! ;-)

You will laugh at it later.....
I have finally found the time to write about my small, and it is funny already, crisis!! Last week I had floor time at the office, I got finished, rushed home picked up the kids from school, Abby from Grandma's, stopped at a house to show a client, and finally home, only to hear from the client, saying they wanted to write an offer on the home. Most of the time that would be really exciting. That day it was just a little to much!! The kids decided they would stay home, it was only going to take an hour - maybe an hour and a half...... they could handle it.
I ran to the office, met with the client wrote up the home, and finished up - time 1 1/2 hours. I headed home, only to realize it was a Thursday, I had to have my ad in by 6:00, it was 5:45. I ran in the house, checked the kids, they were all watching a movie, and sat down at the computer to email my ad to the paper. A few minutes pass, before Brody walks up to me and asks......"Mom, haven't you always wanted an indoor swimming pool?" I replied "Not really, that would be just to much work" He adds "Are you sure?" Confused I look at him, and say "No..." At that point I realize that there is more to this then a conversation. " Come here Mom...." Brody says nicely as he grabs my hand. (He is such a caring little guy, it makes me so proud)
I walk into the bathroom, and gasp as I see about 1 inch of water covering the entire floor, and the sink just a running!! It was the breaking point!! I lost it!! I wish I could have kept my head long enough to take a picture, but it was too late! My kids were so shocked to see me break down like that! We live in a tri level home, so down below the bathroom, it the utility closet, the water had seeped through the floor, into the utility closet, it was a mess. So after the initial shock of it all, I started to use my shampooer, and start sucking up the water, as I cried!
Kaity walked in, she couldn't help but tell the truth, she had started the water, so Abby could bathe her baby, and started talking on the phone, and forgot the water!! It had ran, hot water for 1 1/2 hours! Needless to say the phone was off limits for a few days. But at least she had told me the truth!! Through it all we made it, the flooring in the bathroom didn't fair so well, but I didn't like it anyway!! Jay, the great guy he is showed up with dinner, no questions asked!;-)
What a night!!

Christmas 2009
Hard to believe the holidays are over! It is amazing how it takes months to get ready, and only minutes for it to be over! Santa found the Schofield house, he brought the kids everything they wanted and a lot that they didn't know they wanted. Kaity got an I-Touch, and a reborn baby! Brody, a PSP, and a gun, and Abby, a kitchen, and a baby. The kids were so well behaved the week before, it is to bad we don't have "Santa is watching" all through the year! ;-) It was a fun Christmas with Abby, she actually understood everything, and was so excited!!!
There was really only one damper on the season, my mom's best friend unexpectedly passed away, and her funeral was on Christmas Eve. We spent so much time with her family when we were growing up, her kids are having such a hard time, I can't even imagine what they are going through, I would not be the same person without my mom! It was so sad, but really put everything in perspective. I realized how precious life is, and how we should just savor every moment. It also makes you realize it isn't the gifts that matter, it is just the time that we spend with one another!!
Jay has also caught the ice fishing buzz!! He is loving it, and is getting all geared up so the whole family can tag along!!
